BY-LAW NO. 1381 /81
Being a By-Law to authorize the execution
of a Deed between the Corporation of the
Town of Pickering and the Regional Munici-
pality of Durham respecting Part Lot 26,
Concession 1; Part Lot 26, Range 3, B.F.C.;
and part road allowance between Concession
1 and Range 3, B.F.C., Pickering (Parts
6-13, inclusive and Part 18, Plan 40R-1090)
(Pickering Police Station)
WHEREAS, on January lst, 1974, the Corporation of the Town of Pickering,
as successor to the Corporation of the Township of Pickering, was the
owner in fee simple of certain lands and premises being part of Lot 26,
Concession 1; Part of Lot 26, Range 3, B.F.C.; and part of road allow-
ance between Concession 1 and Range 3, B.F.C., Pickering, comprising
the Pickering Police Station and appurtenances thereto; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 77 of the Regional
Municipality of Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 434, the Regional
Council enacted, on October 1st, 1975, By-Law 98-75, assuming the
lands and buildings that were vested on July 1st, 1973 and any former
local municipality or local board thereof which was used on that date
for the purposes of the police force of that municipality for the
use of Durham Police Board; and
WHEREAS, the said By-Law was approved by the Ontario Municipal Board
on October 21st, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the Regional Municipality of Durham has requested a Deed from
the Corporation of the Town of Pickering (being the successor to the
Corporation of the Township of Pickering) confirming the Regional
Corporation's title to the said lands and premises;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Deed, in
the form attached hereto as Schedule "A", between the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering and the Regional Municipality of Durham
respecting those parts of Lot 26, Concession 1; Lot 26, Range 3,
B.F.C.; and the road allowance between Concession 1 and Range 3,
B.F.C., Pickering, designated as Parts 6-13, inclusive, and Part
18, Plan 40R-1090 (Pickering Police Station).
READ a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day
of October , 1981.

Hereinafter called the "GRANTOR" OF THE FIRST PART
- and -
THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF DURI-Wl
Hereinafter called the "GRANTEE" OF THE SECOND PART
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Pickering was owner in fee simple
of the lands and premises hereinafter described on December 31st, 1973;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of The Regional Municipality of
Durham Act, the Corporation of the Town of Pickering is the successor to
the Corporation of the Township of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to the said Regional Municipality of Durham Act, the
said lands and premises are now vested in the Regional Municipality of
lAnrham;
AND WHEREAS this Deed is given to confirm the Region's title to the said
lands and premises.
Wtnesseth that inconsideration of other good and valuable consideration and

now paid by the said Grantee to the said Grantor, the receipt whereof is hereby by him
acknowledged, he the said Grantor DOTH GRANT unto the said Grantee in fee simple
THOSE .lands and premises located in the following municipality, namely,
In the Town of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham
(formerly in the Township of Pickering in the County of Ontario)

FIRSTLY, That part of Lot 26 in Range Three, Broken Front Concession,
of the former Township of Pickering, now designated as Parts 6, 7 and 18
on a plan of survey deposited in the Registry Office for the Registry
Division of Durham (No. 40) as number 40R-1090;
SECONDLY, That part of Lot 26 in Concession 1 and Part of the Road Allowance
between Concession 1 and Range One, Broken Front Concession, now designated
as Parts 8, 9 and 10 on plan 40R-1090;
THIRDLY, That Part of the Road Allowance between Concession 1 and Range
Three, Broken Front Concession, now designated as Parts 11, 12 and 13
on plan 40R-1090.

successors and assigns to and for their sole and only use forever;
SUBJECT NEVERTHELESS to the reservations, limitations, provisoes and conditions
expressed in the original grant thereof from the Crown.
The said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee that he has the right to convey the
said lands to the said Grantee notwithstanding any act of the said Grantor.
AND that the said Grantee shall have quiet possession of the said lands free from all
encumbrances.
AND the said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee that he will execute such further
assurances of the said lands as may be requisite.
AND the said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee that he has done no act to
encumber the said lands.
AND the said Grantor RELEASES to the said Grantee ALL his claims upon the said lands.
PROVIDED that in construing these presents the words "Grantor" and "Grantee" and the pronouns "he", "his"
or "him" relating thereto and used therewith shall be read and construed as "Grantor" or "Grantors", "Grantee"
or "Grantees", and "he", "she "it" or "they", "his" "her", "its" or "their", or "him" "her", "it" or "them",
respectively, as the number and gender of the party or parties referred to in each case require, and the number of the
verb agreeing therewith shall be construed as agreeing with the said word or pronoun so substituted.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the said parties hereto have hereunto set their hands and seals.
