BY-LAW NO.1313 /81
Being a By-Law to stop up part of Twyn Rivers
Drive and to authorize the sale of that part
of the said road to abutting property owners
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section
443 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the
council of any municipality may pass by-laws to stop up a
highway or part thereof and to sell parts of stopped-up high-
ways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up that part of Twyn
Rivers Drive hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS notice of this By-Law has been published once a week
for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of The Municipal
Act relating to the stopping-up of a highway have been com-
plied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are
hereby stopped-up as a public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto shall
be offered for sale to the abutting property owners.
3. This By-Law shall not take effect until registered in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 6th day of July,
1981.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 8th day
of September , 1981.

ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land
situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering in the
Regional Municipality of Durham (formerly in the Township
of Pickering and County of Ontario) and being composed of
part of Lot 1, Registered Plan 282, more particularly shown
as part of Part 9, according to a plan filed in the Regis-
try Office for the Registry Division of Durham as Number 84
Miscellaneous, the boundaries of which are described as fol-
lows:
PREMISING that the southerly limit of the said Part 9 has
a bearing of N 730 05' 00" E, all bearings herein are
referred to;
FIRSTLY:
COMMENCING at a point in the southerly limit of the said Part
9 distant 150.47 feet measured westerly thereon from the
south-east angle of the Part;
THENCE S 730 05' 00" W, along the southerly limit of the Part,
102.25 feet;
THENCE N 160 55' 00" W, 10.00 feet;
THENCE N 730 05' 00" E, parallel to the southerly limit of
the Part, distant 10.00 feet northerly therefrom, 102.25
feet;
THENCE S 160 55' 00" E, 10.00 feet to the Point of Commence-
ment.
SECONDLY:
COMMENCING at a point in the southerly limit of the said
Part 9 distant 165.00 feet measured easterly thereon from
the south-west angle of the Part;
THENCE N 730 05' 00" E, along the southerly limit of Part
9, 231.95 feet;
THENCE N 160 55' 00" W, 10.00 feet;
THENCE S 730 05' 00" W, parallel to the southerly limit of
Part 9, distant 10.00 feet northerly therefrom, 231.95 feet;
THENCE S 160 55' 00" E, 10.00 feet to the Point of Commence-
ment,

7. CONVEYANCE OF ROAD WIDENINGS
ON TWYN RIVERS DRIVE
FILE NUMBER - E 4500
1 That the request of Mr. and Mrs. J. Spanger
for the return of two road widenings taken
from their property, representing 17' and 10',
respectively, adjacent to Twyn Rivers Drive
and described as Part of Lot 1, Registered
Plan 282, be granted, subject to them assuming
the cost of a Reference Plan to cover the recon-
veyance, if required, and the assumption of
any legal costs incurred by the Municipality
in reconveying the lands.
