BY-LAW NO. 1302/81
Being a By-Law to stop up Simon Street, Henry
Street and Captain Street and to authorize the
sale of that part of the said roads to abutting
property owners.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of section
443 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, chapter 284, the council
of any municipality may pass by-laws to stup up a highway or
part thereof and to Seel parts of stopped up highways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up all of Simon Street,
Henry Street and Captain Street, according to Plan M-1040,
Pickering; and
WHEREAS notice of this By-Law has been published once a week
for four consecutive weeks and the provisions of The Municipal
Act relating to the stopping up of a highway have been complied
with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto are
hereby stopped up as a public highway.
2. The lands described in Schedule "A" attached hereto shall
be offered for sale to the abutting property owners.
3. This By-Law shall not take effect until approved by the
Regional Municipality of Durham and registered in the
Registry Office for the Registry Division of Durham.

SCHEDULE "A" to By-law 1302/81
ALL AND SINGULAR those certain parcels or tracts of land or
premises, situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering
in the Regional Municipality of Durham and being composed of
all of Simon Street, Henry Street and Captain Street accord-
ing to a plan of subdivision registered in the Land Titles
office for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan
M-1040.
