BY-LAW NO. 1578/82
Being a By-Law to stop up part of Twyn Rivers
Drive
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 298(1) of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the council of any municipality may
pass by-laws to stop up a highway or parts thereof; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to stop up those portions of Twyn
Rivers Drive described in Schedule "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS notice of this by-law has been published once a week for
four consecutive weeks and the provisions of the Municipal Act relat-
ing to the stopping up of a highway have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The lands described in Schedule "A" hereto are hereby stopped up
as public highway (Twyn Rivers Drive).

This by-law shall not take effect until registered in the Registry
Office for the Registry Division of Durham.

SCHEDULE "A"
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises
situate, lying and being in the Town of Pickering, Regional Munici-
pality of Durham (formerly the Township of Pickering, County of
Ontario) in the Province of Ontario, more particularly described as
follows:
FIRSTLY, that part of LOt 35, Concession 1, and those parts of Lots
1 and 2, according to a plan registered in the Land Registry Office
for the Registry Division of Durham (No. 40) as Plan 410, containing
an area of three hundred and thirty-nine thousands of an acre (0.339
acre) more or less, designated as Part 14 on a plan registered in the
said Office as Plan 84 Miscellaneous;
AS DESCRIBED thirty-secondly in Instrument No. 146269; and
SECONDLY, that part of Lot 1, Plan 410, being that part of Part 13,
Plan 84, Miscellaneous, the boundaries of which are described as
follows:
PREMISING that the southerly limit of the
bearing of North 72 degrees 33 minutes 40
bearings herein are referred thereto;
said Part 13 has a

13 distant 240.00 feet measured westerly thereon from the
north-east angle of Part 14;
THENCE North 17 degrees 26 minutes 20 seconds West 10.00 feet;
THENCE South 72 degrees 33 minutes 40 seconds West, parallel to
the southerly limit of Part 13 and distant 10.00 feet northerly
therefrom, 220.00 feet;
THENCE South 17 degrees 26 minutes 20 seconds East, 10.00 feet
to the southerly limit of Part 13;

ALL OF WHICH IS NOW DESIGNATED as Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11,
12 and 13 on a plan of survey of reference deposited in the said Office
as Plan No. 40R-7284.
