BY-LAW NUMBER 1504/82
Being a by-law imposing special annual
drainage rates upon land in respect of
which money is borrowed under the Tile
Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1980.
WHEREAS, the owner of land in the municipality has applied to
the Council under the Tile Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1980 for a
loan for the purpose of constructing sub-surface drainage
works on such land; and
WHEREAS, the Council has upon this application lent the owner
the total sum of $3,300.00 to be repaid with interest by
means of rates hereinafter imposed;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
1. That the annual rates set out in Schedule "A"
attached hereto are hereby imposed upon such land
as described for a period of ten years, such
rates to be levied and collected in the same
manner as taxes.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED
this 7th day of June, 1982.
