BY-LAW NUMBER 1462/82
Being a by-law to amend By-law 1047/79,
as amended, fixing the salaries of the
Commissioners of the Pickering Hydro-
Electric Commission.
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 21 of section
2 of The Durham Municipal Hydro-Electric Service Act, 1979,
S.O. 1979, c. 71, as amended, the Council of the Corporation
of the Town of Pickering enacted, on September 17, 1979, By-law
1047/79 to fix the salaries of the Commissioners of the
Pickering Hydro-Electric Commission for the period expiring
November 30, 1980; and
WHEREAS by resolution dated December 15, 1981, the Pickering
Hydro-Electric Commission applied to the Council of the Town
of Pickering to allow for the payment of a per diem rate to the
said Commissioners for attending meetings of a designated
committee or subcommittee of the Commission;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering HEREBY ENACTS as follows:
Subsection (b) of section 3 of By-law 1047/79,
as amended, is hereby amended by deleting
therefrom the following:
"any meeting, held during the start-up process
ending July 1, 1980, of a designated committee
or subcommittee of the Commission,"
and substituting therefor the following:
"any meeting of a designated committee or
subcommittee of the Commission,"
This by-law shall be deemed to have become
effective on December 1, 1981.
BY-LAW READ a first, second and third time and finally PASSED
this 15th day of March, 1982.
