BY-LAW NO.1730 /83
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a
Deed between the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering and J.D.S. Investments Limited re-
specting Part Lot 21, Concession 1, Picketing
(Parts 19 and 21, Plan 40R-'71~,~)
WHEREAS, by Instrument No. 249442, dated November ]6th, 1973 and registered
December 18th, 1973, the Corporation of the Township of Picketing acquired, inter
alia, that part of Lot 21, Concession 1, Picketing, designated as Parts ]9 and 21,
Plan 40R-'~7~, for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS the future needs of the Town will not require the use of the subject lands
for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 193(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the council of every corporation may sell any land required for the
purposes of the corporation when no longer so required;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Deed in the form
attached hereto as Schedule "A" between the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering and J.D.S. Investments Limited respecting the conveyance to that
company of those parts of Lot 21, Concession 1, Picketing, designated as Parts
19 and 21, Plan
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day of
September, 1983.
