BY-LAW NO. 1695/83
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of a
Deed between the Corporation of the Town of
Picketing and Elsa Bocchinfuso respecting Part
Lot 12, Concession 5, Picketing
WHEREAS by Instrument No. 71477, dated September 25th, 1958 and registered De-
cember 17th, 1958, the Corporation of the Township of Picketing, the predecessor to
the Corporation of the Town of Pickering, acquired part of Lot 12, Concession
Picketing, for future road widening purposes; and
WHEREAS the future needs of the area will not require the use of the subject lands
as a road widening; and
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of section 193(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.O.
1980, chapter 302, the council of every corporation may sell any land required for the
purposes of the corporation when no longer so required;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a Deed in the form
attached hereto as Schedule "A", between the Corporation of the Town of
Picketing and Elsa Bocchinfuso, respecting the conveyance to her of part of Lot
12, Concession 5, Picketing (Greenwood Road).
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 27th

THIS INDENTURE made (in duplicate) the twentieth day of June, 1983.
IN PURSUANCE OF THE SHORT FORMS OF CONVEYANCES ACT.
BETWEEN:
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
the successor to
THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
hereinafter called the "Grantor"
OF THE FIRST PART,
- and -
ELSA BOCCHINFUSO, of the Town of Picketing
in the Rel~ional Municipality of Durham
hereinafter called the "Grantee"
OF THE SECOND PART.
WITNESSETH that in consideration of the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00) of lawful money
of Canada, now paid by the said Grantee to the said Grantor, the receipt of which is
hereby by it acknowledged, the said Grantor DOES GRANT unto said Grantee in fee
simple.
ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying
and being in the Town of Picketing, in the Regional Municipality of Durham and
Province of Ontario and being composed of part of Lot 12, Concession 5, which parcel
is more particularly described as follows:
PREMISING that the hearing of the north limit of the said Lot is north
seventy-three degrees four minutes east and relating all bearings used
herein thereto;
COMMENCING at a point in the west limit of Greenwood Road in the said
Lot 12 being distant south 14 degrees 53 minutes and 40 seconds east
three thousand three hundred and thirty-five and thirty-four one hun-
dreds feet (3335.34') from the north-east angle of said Lot 12;
THENCE south twenty-three degrees thirty-two minutes east along the
west limit of the said Greenwood Road, a distance of four hundred feet
(400') to a point being the place of beginning of the parcel herewith
described;
THENCE southerly in and along the westerly limit of said Greenwood Road
and parallel to the easterly limit of said Lot 12 a distance of 179 feet;
THENCE south 67 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds west a distance of ten
(10') feet to a point;
THENCE northerly parallel to the westerly limit of the said Greenwood
Road a distance of 179 feet to a point;
THENCE northerly 67 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds easterly, a distance
of ten (10') feet, more or less to the place of beginning.
AS DESCRIBED IN INSTRUMENT NO. 71477.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD unto the said Grantee, her executors, successors, heirs and
assigns to and for her and their sole and only use forever.
SUBJECT NEVERTHELESS to the reservations, limitations, provisos and conditions
expressed in the original grant thereof from the Crown.
THE said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee THAT it has the right to convey
the said lands to the said Grantee notwithstanding act act of the Grantor.
AND that the said Grantee shall have quiet possession of the said lands, free from all
incumbrances.
AND the said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee that it will execute such
further assurances of the said lands as may be requisite.
AND the said Grantor COVENANTS with the said Grantee that it has done no act to
incumber the said lands.
AND the said Grantor RELEASES to the said Grantee ALL its claims upon the said
lands.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Grantor has hereunto set its Corporate Seal, attested by
its authorized officers,
