BY-LAW NO.z685 /83
Being a by-law to amend By-Law 1684/$3
designating pedestrian crossovers for the
purposes of the Highway Traffic Act
WHEREAS section 120 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 198, provides for
the drivers of vehicles yielding the right of way to pedestrians and persons in wheel-
chairs crossing a roadway within a pedestrian crossover designated by by-law; and
WHEREAS on June 6th, 1983, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
enacted By-Law/~/83 pursuant thereto;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS
AS FOLLOWS:
Schedule A to By-Law 1~83 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
item:
1. Glenanna Road (a) across the full width of the roadway between
(i)
a line parallel to and 2.5 metres east of the
easterly limit of the intersection with Field-
light Boulevard, and
(ii) a line parallel to and 5.5 metres east of that
limit
2. This by-law shall come into force on the date that it is approved by the Council
of the Regional Municipality of Durham.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 6th day of June,
1983.
