BY-LAW NO. 2395187
Being a by-law to authorize the execution of
Transfers of parts of Lot 31, Concession 1,
Pickering, from the Town to Bernard Burton, in
trust (Part 74, Plan 40R-4433; Part 22, Plan
40R-4767).
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Affairs Act, R.S.O. 1980,
chapter 303, The Corporation of the Town of Picketing is the owner of those parts of
Lot 31, Concession 1, Pickering, designated as Part 74, Plan 40R-4433 and Part 22,
Plan 40R-4767; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter
302, the Town may dispose of such lands it deems it desirable to do so in consid-
eration of the payment of all outstanding taxes, penalties and interest thereon;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:

On June 18, 1984, the Transferor registered, as Instrument No. D179166, a Tax Ar-
rears Certificate under the Municipal Affairs Act certifying that by reason of certain
taxes on the land described in Box (5) on page 1 hereof remaining unpaid for the
period mentioned in section 40 of the Act, the land is vested in and has become the
property of the Transferor herein.
On July 27, 1984, the Transferor registered, as Instrument No. D181528, a Statutory
Declaration of the Transferor's Treasurer under the Act stating that Notice of Regis-
tration of the Tax Arrears Certificate has been sent to the persons entitled under the
Act to receive such notice advising them that the land has vested in and become the
property of the Transferor herein subject to their right of redemption expiring June
18, 1985.
None of the persons so notified exercised his right of redemption on or before June
18, 1985.

On June 18, 1984, the Transferor registered, as Instrument No. LT206819, a Tax Ar-
rears Certificate under the Municipal Affairs Act certifying that by reason of certain
taxes on the ]and described in Box (5) on page 1 hereof remaining unpaid for the
period mentioned in section 40 of the Act, the land is vested in and has become the
property of the Transferor herein.
On July 27, 1984, the Transferor registered, as Instrument No. LT210495, a Statutory
Declaration of the Transferor's Treasurer under the Act stating that Notice of Regis-
tration of the Tax Arrears Certificate has been sent to the persons entitled under the
Act to receive such notice advising them that the land has vested in and become the
property of the Transferor herein subject to their right of redemption expiring June
18, 1985.
None of the persons so notified exercised his right of redemption on or before June
18, 1985, and consequently on October 3, 1985, the Transferor registered, as
Instrument No. LT246482, an Application for Registration of its Absolute Title under
the Act.
