REASON FOR DESIGNATION
The house, built circa 1850 is a storey and a half with dormers constructed
of stone and timber which appear to be sourced locally. This is evidenced
by the similarity to the stone found on the property. The use of hand
forged square nails are prominent throughout the structure. There are three
exterior doors each of which lead on to a verandah. The exterior of the
house is highlighted by gingerbread trim. There is evidence of two interior
chimneys now gone.
