BY LAW NUMBER 3710/91
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number
2439/87 to regulate signs in the Town
of Pickering.
Whereas pursuant to section 210.141 of the Municipal Act, R.W.O.
1980, c. 302, as amended, the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering enacted By-law Number 2439/87 on April 6, 1987 to
regulate signs in the Town of Pickering; and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend By-law Number 2439/87 to
prohibit certain types of pylon signs;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering hereby enacts as follows:
1. Section lO(6)of By-law Number 2439/87 is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following:
(c)
A pylon sign shall have a minimum clearance of three metres
above any highway that is located within 20 metres of the
said sign.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
21stday of May, 1991.
