Being a by-law to amend By-law No. 3236/89
regarding heavy traffic on Westney Road
Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
enacted By-law Number 3236/89 on the 10th day of August, 1989 to
amend By-law Number 55/74 to prohibit heavy traffic on a portion of
Westney Road on Saturdays and Sundays only; and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend By-law Number 3236/89 to
allow heavy traffic on the portion of Westney Road in Concession 9
up to 12:00 noon on Saturdays;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Pickering Hereby Enacts as Follows:
1. Section 2 of By-law Number 3236/89 is hereby deleted and the
following substituted therefor:
2. This by-law shall be in effect from 12:00 noon on Saturdays
and until midnight of the following Sunday.
2. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by
the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to
the Regional Municipality of Durham Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 434, s.
40.
3. By-law Number 3302/89 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this
22nd day of January, 1990.
