BY-LAW NUMBER 3004/89
Being a by-law to amend the Town of Pickering
Municipal Code to fix instalment dates respect-
ing the collection of taxes.
WHEREAS By-law 354/76, enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the Town
of Pickering on January 2, 1976, provides generally for the payment and
collection of taxes; and
WHEREAS pursuant to section 3 of By-law 354/76, it is deemed expedient at
this time to fix the due dates for the payment of instalments of 1989 taxes;
and
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of subsection 1 of Section 380 of the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, Council may by by-law authorize the
preparation and giving of two separate tax notices, one specifying the
amount of taxes payable for all purposes except school purposes and one
specifying the amount of taxes payable for school purposes;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickerin§ HEREBY
ENACTS as follows:
1o Sections 2210.1, 2210.2, 2210.2.1 and 2210.2.2 of the Town of
Pickering Municipal Code are hereby deleted and the following
substituted therefore:
2210.1 The Town Treasurer-Tax Collector is hereby authorized to
prepare and give two separate tax notices for 1989 taxes,
one notice specifying the amount of taxes payable for all
purposes except school purposes and one specifying the
amount of taxes payable for school purposes.
2210.2 The due dates for the payment of 1989 taxes in instalments
are as follows:
2210.2.1 taxes payable for all purposes except school purposes:
due date of first instalment February 23, 1989
due date of second instalment April 25, 1989
2210.2.2 taxes payable for school purposes:
due date of first instalment June 27, 1989
due date of second instalment September 26, 1989

of January, 1989,
