BY-LAW NUMBER 3002 /89
Being a by-law to amend By-law Number 55/74
prohibiting heavy traffic on Royal Road
Whereas pursuant to section 210.117 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c.
302, as amended, by-laws may be passed by the councils of local
municipalities for prohibiting heavy traffic as defined in the by-law
subject to the Highway Traffic Act; and
Whereas it is deemed expedient to amend By-law 55/74 to prohibit heavy
traffic on Royal Road;
Now Therefore the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
Hereby Enacts as follows:
1. Section 2 of By-law Number 55/74, as amended, is hereby further
amended by adding thereto the following:

No. 2)
2. This By-law shall not take effect until approved by the Regional
Municipality of Durham.
By-law Read a first, second and third time and finally Passed this 16th
day of January, 1989.
