BY-LAW NUMBER 2640/88
Being a Zoning By-law to amend By-law 1893/84, which amended Restricted
Area (Zoning) By-law 2511, as amended, to implement the Official Plan of the
Town of Picketing District Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lot 19,
Concession l, (Parts l, 2, # and 5, Plan 40R-t~75#), in the Town of Picketing.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing passed By-law
1893/84, amending By-law 2511, to permit the establishment of industrial and certain
commercial uses on the subject lands, being Part of Lot 19, Concession 1, (Parts 1, 2, t4 and
5, Plan t40R-q75~) in the Town of Picketing;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing now deems it
desirable to amend By-law 1893/8q, to permit a vehicle sales shop to be allowed as a
permitted use and to prohibit outdoor display on the subject property;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENT
(1) Section t~ of By-law 1893/8t~ is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
clause:
(2t~a) "Vehicle Sales Shop" shall mean an establishment in which vehicles are
displayed for sale, sold, or both.
(2) Section 5(l)(a) of By-law 1893/8t~ is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following subclause:
(xix) vehicle sales shop
(3) Section 5(l)(b)(vii) of By-law 1893/84 is hereby revoked and the following
substituted therefore:
(vii) OPEN STORAGE:
All uses, other than parking, shall take place entirely within enclosed
buildings or structures with no outside storage or display permitted.
2. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval
of the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
