BY-LAW NUMBER 5805/01
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the
Corporation of the City of Pickering at its Special Council
Meeting of February 5, 2001, Special Council Meeting of
February 12, 2001 and Regular Council Meeting of
February 19th, 2001.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.45, as
amended, the powers of a municipal corporation are to be exercised by its Council; and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 101(1) of the said Act, the powers of every Council shall
be exercised by By-law; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expediem that the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation
of the City of Pickering at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF
PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The actions of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering at its
Special Council Meeting of February 5th, 2001, Special Council Meeting of
February 12th, 2001 and Regular Council Meeting of February 19th, 2001 in
respect of each recommendation contained in the Reports of the Committees and
each motion and resolution passed and other action taken by the Council of the
Corporation of the City of Pickering at this meeting, is hereby adopted and
confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this By-law;
The Mayor and proper officials of the Corporation of the City of Pickering are
hereby authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the
action of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering referred to in the
preceding section hereof;
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all documents
necessary in that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the City
of Pickering.
By-law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this 19th day of
February, 2001.
