HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5668/00THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5668/00 Being a by-law to repeal by-laws to establish certain benefits for non-union employees and to amend By-law 682/77 to define and determine the duties and responsibilities of the Chief Admininrative Officer WHEREAS the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering enacted By-law 3801/91 and By-law 4110/92 to establish certain benefits for non-union employees; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to repeal By-law 3801/91 and By-law 4110/92 and substitute them with written policies; and WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering enacted By-law 682/77 to govern the duties of the Chief Administrative Officer; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient and practical to amend By-law 682/77 to empower the Chief Administrative Officer to approve the following policies: Benefits Policy - Non-Union Employees Leave Policy - Non-Union Employees and any amendments to these policies as required from time to time. NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: The following by-laws are hereby repealed: By-law Number 3801/91 (establishing certain benefits for non-union employees) By-law Number 4110/92 (amending By-law 3801/91) (q) Section 3 of By-law Number 682/77 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: Approve the following policies: (i) Benefits Policy - Non-Union Employees (ii) Leave Policy - Non-Union Employees and any amendments to these policies as required from time to time.
