BY-LAW NU~BER 4065/92
Being a by-law to appoint a Local
Councillor of the Town of Pickering as
an alternate representative to the
Council of the Regional Municipality
of Durham to act in the place and
stead of Mayor Wayne Arthurs during
his incapacitation.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9.10 of the Regional Municipalities Act,
R.S.O. 1990, chapter R.8, the council of an area municipality may by
by-law appoint one of its members as an alternate representative to
the Regional Council who shall act in the place and stead of the
head of council during his incapacity; and
WHEREAS Mayor Wayne Arthurs of the Town of Pickering has been
incapacitated since March 23, 1992, and for an indeterminate length
of time; and
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing
deems it expedient to appoint an alternate representative to the
Regional Council;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Councillor Enrico Pistritto is hereby appointed an alternate
representative to act in the place and stead of Mayor Wayne
Arthurs during his incapacity.
2. The appointment of Councillor Enrico Pistritto as mentioned in
Section 1 of this by-law shall expire on September l, 1992.
3. This By-law shall take effect as of August l, 1992.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed t~is
4th day of August, 1992.
