BY-LAW NUMBER 4041/92
Being a by-law to adopt Amendment No. 78 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering
WHEREAS pursuant to the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.p. 13, subsections 17(6) and 21(1), the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickerin$ may by by-law adopt amendments to the
District Plan for the Town of Pickering, being an official plan, and submit them to the Minister of
Municipal Affairs for approval;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Amendment No. 78 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and including the Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted.
2. The Clerk of the Town of Pickering is hereby authorized and directed to submit
Amendment No. 78 to the District Plan for the Town of Picketing to the Ministry of
Municipal Affairs for approval.
3. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing hereof.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 29thday of June ., 1992.

Exhibit "A" to By-law
AMENDMENT NO. 78
TO THE
TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN
AMENDMENT NO. 78 TO THE TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN
PURPOSE: The purpose of this amendment is to permit an automatic car wash
operation on a specific property within a residential area.
LOCATION: The subject lands are located at the northeast corner of Whites
Road and Oklahoma Drive The lands affected by this amendment
are approximately 0.34 hectares in size.
The lands are generally described as Part of Lot 28, Range 3, B.F.C.,
Town of Picketing.
BASIS: The amendment has been determined to be appropriate as it
permits the development of an automatic car wash which can
provide a needed service to the adjacent neighbourhood, without
creating an adverse impact on the surrounding residents.
ACTUAL
AMENDMENT: The Town of Pickering District Plan is hereby amended as follows:
1. Renumber Subsection 5Bl.(d)(ii) as Subsection 5Bl.(d)(iii),
and insert a new Subsection 5Bl.(d)(ii) as follows:
"Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection 5Bl(d)(i)
above, a mechanical car wash operation shall be permitted on
the property at the northeast corner of Whites Road and
Oklahoma Drive."
IMPLEMENTATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan, as
amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall apply in
regard to this Amendment.
INTERPRETATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Picketing District Plan, as
amended, regarding the interpretation of the Plan shall apply in
regard to this Amendment.

APPENDIX NO. H TO
RECOMMENDATION REPORT NO. 14/92
RECOMMENDED CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL FOR
~ONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A $./92
That Town Council APPROVE Zoning By-law Amendment Application A 5/92
subject to the following conditions:
1. That Town Council enact a by-law to adopt the Amendment to the Pickering
District Plan resulting from Official Plan Amendment Application 92-P/2;
2. That prior to the forwarding of an implementing zoning by-law to Council, the
owner obtain revised site plan approval for additional landscape planting along
the east side of the property between the end of the wood fence and the Oklahoma
Drive streetline.
