BY-LAW NUMBER 3990/92
Being a By-law to adopt Amendment Number 75 to the District Plan for the Town of
Picketing
WHEREAS pursuant to the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.p. 13, subsections 17(6) and 21(1), the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering .may by by-law adopt amendments to the
District Plan for the Town of Picketing, being an officlai plan, and submit them to the Minister
of Municipal Affairs for approval;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOII OWS:
1. Amendment Number 75 to the District Plan for the Town of Picketing, attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" and including the Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted.
2. The Clerk of the Town of Pickering is hereby authorized and directed to submit
Amendment Number 75 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering to the Ministry of
Municipal Affairs for approval.
3. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing hereof.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 19th day

AMENDMENT NO. 75
TO THE
TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN
(WOODLANDS COMMUNITY PLAN, PART A)
AMENDMENT NO. 75 TO THE PICKERING DISTRICF PLAN
(WOODLANDS COMMUNITY PLAN, PART A)
PURPOSE: The purpose of this Amendment is to permit the subject property to
be used for a private school use and a day nursery use, in addition to
the uses currently permitted by the "Hi~,hway Industrial -
Commercial" designation of the Pickenng District Plan, Woodlands
Community Plan, Part A.
LOCATION: The subject lands consist of approximately 0.32 hectares located on
the south side of Kingston Road, mid-way between Rougemount
Drive and Evelyn Avenue, immediately north of Highway 401.
The lands are generally described as Part of Lot 19, Plan 230, Town
of Pickering.
BASIS: The proposal for a private school use and a day nursery use has been
determined to be appropriate given the existence of a vacant, 685
square metre, one-storey building on the subject property. An
existing private school in the Town of Picketing is interested in
relocating to this building.
ACTUAL
AMENDMENT: The Town of Pickering District Plan - Woodlands Community Plan,
Part A is hereby amended by:
(i) Adding a new Subsection 3.C.(h) as follows:
The lands designated "Highway Industrial - Commercial" and
situated within Special Policy Area "D" as shown on Schedule
VI-1-A may be used for private school uses and day nursery
uses, in addition to the uses permitted under the "Highway
Industrial - Commercial" designation.
(ii) Amending Schedule VI-l-& Kingston Road-Highway 401
Corridor. Land Use Plan, as Indicated m Schedule A to th~s
Amendment.
IMPI.EMENTATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan,
as amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall
apply in regard to this Amendment.
INTERPRETATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of PickeringDistrict Plan,
as amended, regarding the interpretation of the Plan shall
apply in regard to this Amendment.
