HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5589/99THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 5589/99 Being a By-law to amend Zoning By-law 4150/93, which amended Zoning By-law 3036, to implement the Official Plan of the Town of Picketing District Planning Area, Region of Durham in Part of Lot 32, Concession 1, in the Town of Picketing. (A 27/99) WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing deems it desirable to permit a two-unit dwelling on Lot 9, Plan 40M-1920 in Part of Lot 32, Concession 1, in the Town of Picketing; AND WHEREAS amendment of By-law 4150/93 is therefore deemed necessary; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. TEXT AMENDMENT Section 5. PROVISIONS is hereby amended, as follows: (1) Subsection (1)(a) Uses Permitted CSI", "S1-5", "S2" and "S3" Zones) is amended by adding the following after (i): (ii) notwithstanding subsection 5.(1)(b)(ix) or any other provision of this By-law, a detached dwelling unit on Lot 9, Plan 40M-1920 may include a second dwelling unit (2) Subsection (1)(b) is amended by adding the following after subsection (xi): (xii) SPECIAL PARKING REGULATIONS FOR TWO-UNIT HOUSES where a detached dwelling is permitted to include a second dwelling unit, there shall be provided and maintained a minimum of three parking spaces on that lot 2. BY-LAW 3036 By-law 3036, as amended by By-law 4150/93, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
