BY-LAW NUMBER 5574/99
A By-law to confirm the proceedings of the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Picketing at its Special Council Meetings held
on the 16th day of June, 1997, 12th day of
April, 1999, 26th day of May, 1997, 8th day
of March, 1999, 12th day of October, 1999,
25th day of October, 1999 and its Regular
Meeting held on the 1st day of November,
1999.
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 9 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.45, as amended, the powers
of a municipal corporation are to he exercised by its Council; and
WHEREAS pursuant to Section 101(1) of the said Act, the powers of every Council shall be exercised by
By-law; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient that the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of
Picketing at this meeting be confirmed and adopted by By-law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
The action of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing at its Special Council
Meetings held on the 16th day of June, 1997, 12th day of April, 1999, 26th day of May 1997,
8th day of March, 1999, 12th day of October, 1999, 25th day of October, 1999 and at its regular
meeting of 1st day of November, 1999, in respect of each recommendation contained in the
Reports of the Committees and each motion and resolution passed and other action taken by the
Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing at this meeting, is hereby adopted and
confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly embodied in this By-law;
The Mayor and proper officials of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering are hereby
authorized and directed to do all things necessary to give effect to the action of the Council of
the Corporation of the Town of Pickering referred to in the preceding section hereof;

The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute all documems necessary in
that behalf and to affix thereto the Seal of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing.
By-law read a First, Second and Third time and finally PASSED this 1st day of November, 1999.
