BY-LAW NO. 4697/95
Being a by-law to assume portions of Waterford Gate, being
part of Lot 9, Plan 282, Pickering, designated as Parts 8, 9,
10 and 11 , Plan 40R-16701, for public use as public
highways under the jurisdiction of The Corporation of the
Town of Picketing.
WHEREAS, on December 19, 1994, pursuant to section 297(1)(a) of the Municipal Act, R.S,O. 1990,
chapter M.45, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing enacted,
(a) By-law 4543/94, dedicating part of Lot 9, Plan 282, Picketing as public highway to become part
of Waterford Gate;
AND WHEREAS, pursuant to section 263 of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter M.45, the Council of
The Corporation of the Town of Picketing has jurisdiction over that public highway, the Council of The
Regional Municipality of Durham not having enacted a by-law pursuant to section 23 of the Regional
Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter R.8, or any predecessor thereto, to add that highway to the regional
road system; and
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The following portions of highway are hereby assumed for public use as public highways under the
jurisdiction of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of ?ickering:
(a) Part of Lot 9, Plan 282, Picketing, designated as Parts 8, 9, 10 and 11, Plan 40R-16701
