HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 5230/98THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NO. 5230/98 Being a by-law to amend By-Law 2366/87, designating Zator Avenue, Summerpark Crescent and Wildflower Drive as through highways. WHEREAS, section 1(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter H.8, defines "through highways" as a highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a municipality and provides that every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield sign or yield right-of-way sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry; and WHEREAS By-Law 2366/87, as amended, provides for the designation of certain highways in the Town of Pickering as through highways; and WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to further amend By-Law 2366/87; NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. Schedule A to By-Law 2366/87, as amended, is hereby further amended to include the following: Highway Summerpark Crescent Wildflower Drive Zator Avenue From Wildflower Drive Woodsmere Crescent (South Intersection) Bem Avenue To Wildflower Drive/ Summerpark Crescent Deerhaven Lane/ Summerpark Crescent Krosno Boulevard This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8, section 34. BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 9th day of March, 1998.
