Special Council Meeting of July 14, 1987. DELEGATI ONS The fo 110wing persons addressed Counc i1 with respect to unfinished works in the subdivision at Brock Road and Finch Avenue: 1. 2. 3. . 4. ~ Beverley Morgan, 1605 Gandalf Court and Chairman of the Brock Ridge Community Association expressed grat itude to Counci 1 regard ing the enforcement of the S~,bdiv i s ion Agreements with Rougecrest Deve 1 opments and communications with new residents in the new community association. She submitted copies of letters from residents outlining specific problems such as grading and workmanship and requested that works be completed by SeptetlÎ>er 30, 1987. She also requested that Council prov ide an a lternat lve route for construction trucks when the new subdivision to the west commences. Derek Johnson, 2159 Denby Drive, stated that the walkout from his basement is 5 feet above ground le~el. Kim Carter, 2142 Denby Drive, stated she has lived in her house for 13 1/2 months and that proper grading and sodding is not yet completed. William Leith, 2101 Denby Drive, stated retaining walls: should be built at the back and side of his property and a~ked that the retaining wall at the side be put on Town property to maximize his lot. (II) 5. . 6. 7 , . (III) 16/87 79 DELEGATIONS - (contiftvecO Gordon Gillard, 2108 DuberTY Drive, stated the IIIOrtar used on his house is defective because it flakes and falls out in chunks. He asked who is responsible for inspecting houses and for a copy of the approval stating that the 8Ortar is not faulty. See Resolutions 195/87 and 196/87 Murray Stroud, on behalf of Oon and Harie lynde, 1122 Kingston Road, spoke in favour of Draft Plan of Subdivision 18T-86037 and Rezoning Application A 45/86 submitted by Runnymede Developments and agreed to proceed with the project in its ent irety but added concerns regard ing the ilia intenance of the wa lkway and proposed hndscaping en Highway 12. He also stated that the Lyndes prefer a chain link fence with cedar trees planted on Runnymede's property. Lucy Stocco, Runnymed~ Developments requested that conditions of approval 112, 113 and #14, as outlined in the Addendum to Planning Report 32/87, and 6.0 metre frontages be approved by Council. Councillor Mitchell asked the status of the sale of Ontario Land Corporation lands in North Pickering. Councillor Brenner expressed concern about the poor maintenance of boulevards on Altona Road. Councillor Brenner stated his dissatisfaction with the Ontario Municipal Board's decision respecting the lands at Rosebank Road and Highway f2. Counc illor Brenner introduced the fo 110wing Not ice of Motion: That the Council of the Town of Pickering support Mr. David Reid's request to have the Decision of the Ontario Municipal Board reviewed by the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
