(II ) DELEGATIONS 1 . 2. .. l' (III) RESOLUTIONS ADOPTION OF MINUTES Mr. Stan O'Grady, representing Scarborough Truck Centre. addressed Council with respect to Item "7 of the Executive Committee Report regarding Tender T-6-84 for the supply of one four-ton truck. He stated that his tender meets the specifications but the tender submitted by the successful bidder does not. The successful bidder will be supplying a truck with an engine that does not meet M.T.C. standards and if he knew that that was acceptable. he would have supplied an alternate bid which provided for an inferior engine. Hiss Mary Anderson. Fairport Road, addressed Council with respe~~ to BY-law 1813/84 to authorize the execution of a Subdivision Agreement with John Boddy Developments Limited. She asked that this By-law be deferred for one month to allow her to bring a proposal to the developer which would be of benefit to the Town. Resolution 130184 - See Appendix 11 '.. THIRD READING Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Mitchell mo\cd that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-law Numbers 1797/e4. 1811/84. 1812/84, 1814/84 and 1815/84 be adopted with the following amendment: By-law Number 1813/84 was deferred for two weeks pending staff investigating the feasibility of mo'"ing the Anderson house to another location in the proposed subdivision and the feasibility of having the house designated under the Ontario Heritage Act; and that the said By-laws be now read a Third Time and PASSED. that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same. and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. . (VII) 6/84 29 OTHER BUSIlfESS Councillor Arthurs reported that Pickering Hydro will be 1nstallin¡ street lights on Finoh Avenue through the hydro-right-of-way and thanked staff for arranging this. Councillor Robertsop asked the Town Manager to report on the speed limits on Maple Ridge Drive and Bushmill Road. Councillor Cahill asked why bales of straw were put in the creek wbereit pasaes under Finch Avenue and was told this was done to impede the flow of water. Councillor Cahill stated that the Treasurer's Report on taxation over the past ten years should be publicized. Councillor Mitohell stated that the storm water system on Finoh Avenue will assist in the drainage of water. The following matters were discussed prior to the regular meeting: a) The Exeoutive Committee Meeting of April 24, 1984 was cancelled and rescheduled for April 30. 1984. b) Council considered a request from Keen Kraft Marina to erect a sign on the road allowance at Liverpool Road and Commerce Street. The request was refused. Councillor Robertson declared an interest in the above discussion because his son represents Keen Kraft Marina. CONFIRMATION BY-LAW By-law Number 1816/84 Councillor Cahill, seconded by Councillor Mitchell moved for leave to introduce a By-law of the Town of Pickering to confirm the proceedings of the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering at its meeting held on April 2. 1984 and that same be now read a firat, second and third time and that the aame be now finally passed and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the salle and that th~ Seal of the Corporation be thereto affixed.
