A meeting of Pickering Township Council was held on MONDAY, the' FIFTH

W. G. Lawson makes application to have Lot 10, Plan 432,
~shopp~ng centre on Liverpool Road) zoned C2 instead of R4.
Duffin Developments Limited asks Council to pave a portion of
road south 01 the shopp~ng centre on Liverpool Road so that the
area will be less muddy and that consideration be given to street
lighting the area.
Department of Health submits a report on nine cemeteries owned
Dy the 1'ownsh~ p . .four have had work done on them this year.
Others not in good condition. They recommend a Cemetery Board
appointed by Council, of interested persons.
Department of Trans~ refuses to approve 35 mile per hour limit
on Wh~te Road from Hïgnway 2 to Concession 2, but will approve
from Highway 2 to Concession 1. See By-Law 2729.
Ontario Water Resources Commission has approved 200' watermain
on L~verpool Road, at cost of ~1,749.00. See By-Law 2722 for
third reading.

By-Law Enforcement Officer recommends that application of John
Graham of West Rouge for a Public Hall Licence and Restaurant
Licence be approved. See Resolution No. 283/62.
Resolution of Industrial Committee for Council to authorize an
agent to negotiate for options for more Township Industrial lands.

Hbdro-Electric Power Commission submits an agreement to purchase
1 .17 acres ot Townsh~p Industrial lands @ $3,000.00 per acre.
Munici¥ality of Metro Toronto submits a report of the Executive
Comm~t ee re "appo~ntment of Advisory and Technical Waterfront
Committee", which was adopted, and which provides for a member of
each Lakefront Municipality to sit on the Committee.

·The Ro{'aT Canadian Legion will hold a Remembrance Day Service at
P~cker~ng Memorial Park on Sunday, November 11, at 11 a.m., and
ask that as many Councillors as possible be present.
Clerk has ordered a wreath for the Township.
Ontario Municipal Board has approved Zoning By-Law No. 2712
amendment to 1'9'78, West Rouge.

(1) His Department, and Department of Transport, are making a
survey of certain County Roads re advisable speed limit.
Will consider Base Line.
(2) Township resolution re by-passing Brougham with County Road
will be turned over to County Road Committee, Depart ment
of Transport, giving Brougham area their study.

construction of an eight inch watermain extension along Liverpool
Road for a distance of 200 feet, more or less, as a Local Improvement
