The followin~ PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard:
1. Frark Linehan and delegation of twelve from Dunbarton Shores presented
a petition of 58 rames of owners in Area, claiming that this represented
90 to 100% of owners, asking that the easterly part of Plan 345 and un-
registered plan to north be zoned "R 1" rather than the present 02
be! rg open spaces which "1ight be park and picnic grounds arid might be
very noisy. Messrs. B~eJ1karn, Nichols and Mrs. Pickard also spoke.
The Reeve also explained the proposal of Crusader Development Corpor-
atton Limited to buiVI 2500 homes in Frenchman's Bay area, to the

~ Mr. N. Hall, president Ward 2 Ratepayers' Association, asked Council
to consider very carefully the Crusader proposal because 2500 low
pri.ced homes could he detrimental to Township.
3. Mr. Alar Andersof' reported on "Little Theatre Group" under Recreation
Committee, statirg that they had an active group and would put on a
Play ir February next. lIe said they expected $60.00 from the Recreation
Committee aDd would need aJ10ther $50.00 for props.
~. W. C. Willson reported he had viewed 13 sheep killed or injured by dogs,
such sheep beirf.r, owned by Millard Reesor of Altona; now wished to add
ore more to list as it has a broken leg. AGREED

r.. Messrs. Cane. Th1reomhe and Sproule stated they believed Mr. A. Robertson,
Lot 81, Plan 2R3, was erecting a building lR feet by 30 feet to be used
for a commercial enterprise, contrary to the Zoning By-Law, and they
wished the By-Law enforced.
~. Mr. A. Robertsor stated he was erectin~ a two car garage buildirg and
that he may move his tool works irto it from his present old garage -
}mt he does rot interiJ to ipcrease his husipess.
7. Miss HettIe a~aiT' appeared and stated her oil drum and 100 gallons of
oil had been sèized by the Tax Bailiff for taxes owing by her parents.
The Bailiff said he would return if she would pay Three Dollars cartage.
8. Mr. Smith asked when Road Department would start Audley Road. Get Mr.
Chapman to report.

Mrs. Pi~~ott, of Cherrywood, stated there were three bridges on Altona
Road that were very rarrow and rot well marked. Perhaps white paint
would save an accidert. Mr. Chapman report.

10. Mr. Flatma~ who had been refused further Building Permits by Council,
as~ed for a Building Permit for Lot 52, Plan 324. REFUSE~
11. Mr. SDroule complained about a house on Rosebank Road bein~ built over
several years' period, of used lumber. Advised Building lrispecéor could
approve used lumber.
12. Mr. Duncombe asked Council to consider
(1) Time limit to build any house.
(2) Any owner should pay full taxes on a house blank months after started.

Co-Op for heating garage, using 420,000 B.T.U., $1,607.28, be accepted,

MOVED by Mr. Stewart, seconiJed by Mr. Hawthorne, that Murray ard Company be
as1<ed to return the outstandir:g warrants they now hold and Mr. Baker employ
other bailiffs to enforce the collection of these arrears. CARRIED

contact Murray and Company and request Hiss HettIe's oil tank be returned
ar~ its oil content returned to 100 gallons; if this is not agreed to that
this l"1uricipality pick the tank up and returr it to Miss HettIe. CARRIED

the lardowrers of that area known as Dunbarton Shores be passed on by Council
t.o:

(2) Plarning Consultants

action is taker on the Zoning By-Law. CARRIED

BY-LAW-NUMBER 2355
Mr. Pu~h, seconded by Mr. Hawthorne, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of
the Township of Pickering to appoint places for receiving votes and Deputy
ReturT1irg Officers to preside thereat for the 1958 Municipal Elections, and
that same row be read a first time.
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. James, moves that By-Law Number 2355 to appoint
places for receivir~ votes and Deputy Returning Officers to preside thereat
for tl1e 1958 Municipal Electiors, be now read a secoJ1d time, and that Council
~o into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. ~Jgh, seconded by Mr. Scott, moves that the report of the Committee of
the Whole or By-Law Number 23fi5 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now
read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED

Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Stewart, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law
of the Township of Pickering to rescind part of By-Law Number 2181, and that
saMe now be read a first time.
~r. Scott, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, moves that By-Law Number 2356 to rescind
part of By-Law Number 2181 be row read a secord time, and that Council go
i.rto Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.

the Whole OJ1 B -Law Number 2356 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now
