10. Area 1 School Board request that $60,000.00 debenture for 3 room school J

11. Mr. A. M. Hansen requests part of private road by his home in Clarke's
Hollow be ditched at his expense.

The following PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard:
1. Mr~. A Dowds asked that if he built new temporary home ard darce hall
at Cowar's Park at Rosebank that he retain his present rights ~ that is,

SlImmer months and get a licerse for a rew dance hall (203 Scarborough
Crescent, Scarborough).

? Mr. Bert Cane objected to Mr. Dowd's opening up a dance hall at Rosebank
because it. would increase traffic in the area and create certain police
problems. He askedthat a sub-police station be created at the Rouge,
that police check on boys operating old cars and motorcycles, and
that the dog catcher spend more time in the area picking up dogs not
under control.

Mr. Hooker, of Riverside, asked that the ox-bow south of Riverside be
closed, as agreed by Council, so that children could plant willows
on the bank. Council agreed to ask Read Department to try and do it
during current week.

Mr. Fair~rieves stated the proposed Cowan Park could be closed if
people presented a petition.

Mr. William ThomDsor stated his client, Mr. A. Gottlieb, was interested
in subdividirg R~ to 90 acres of his 100 acre farm in Concession 2,
Lot 20. He would supply municipal water if it could be located in
quartity or the farm, a common sewage disposal unit, 1200 square foot
minimum houses to sell in $17,500.00 bracket on lots three to the
acre, and grants to schools/in all about 240 houses. They propose
to erect three sample houses and tryout the market for orders.

road 13 feet westerly;
AND WHEREAS deed issued to one Weston Palmer, owner of north half of Lot 22
Concessior Broken Front, Range 3, was described in error;

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Reeve and Clerk be hereby authorized to
st~n a deed in favour of Donald Annan, present owner of said lands for 33
feet ny the length of his farm. CARRIED

Councillor Pugh represent t.he Township of Pickering at the Central Lake
Ortario Conservation Authority meeting at Hampton on May 6th, and that
they inform this Authority that since Pickerirg Township is endeavouring
to have the Carruther's Creek watershed included in the Metro Toronto
Corservatior Aut.hority, Pickering Township does rot wish to be included
ir the Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority. CARRIED

of the Township of Pickering to provide for the issue of Debentures in .¡
the aggregate pripcipal amoupt of $65,000.00 to provide moneys for the
purpose of building and equippipg a three room school in Township School
Area Number 1 of the Township of Pickering ard that same now be read a
first time.
Mr. Hawthorne, seconded by Mrs. McPherson, moves that By-Law Number 2260
to provide for the issue of Debentures in the aggregate priJ1cipal amount
of $65,000.00 to provide moneys for the purpose of building and equipping
a three room school in Township School area Number 1 of the Township of
Pickeripg be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee
of the Whole thereop.

acres at Rosebank.
