The rollowing CORRESPONDBNCE vas read:
1. Medioal Otticer ot Health reported he had made an inspection of the
Township dump and noted a number of rats. He re.....nded use .t
"Wartarin", whioh i. a p.i.en to rats only, and net to oats or dogs.

2. Our 8~licit.r reports that the Consumers' Ga. Company appeal will net
be heard until January, 1958, when both Attorney Generals will make

The tollowing PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard.:
1. W. C. Willson stated he had inspected two pure-bred eows ot Allan
L18haan, who clai..d dogs had bitten the teets or the cow., oauing
$350.00 dållage. As there va. considerable barbed wire around the
barn, Mr. Willson reoolllDended the account be not paid, as he believed
the damage was caused by barbed wire and not dogs. Mr. Lishllan
retus.d to take an attidavit that dogs had cau.ed the daaage.
2. Mr. Goslin stated he could not return the new Tax Roll b1 Decem... 15,
1957, but thought he oould "" January 31, 1958.

3. Mr. Ge4l..n asked tor:
(1) Snow plow tor new truck at cost ot $1,477.00. Now has 6 plows
and-had 7 plows last 1ear.
(2) Curran and Briggs would sell radio equipment for truok at a

(3) Three heating systems tor garage ranged trom $1,400.00 to $2,400.00.
Asked to call tor local tenders.
(4) Gar... door weights were being investigated.
(5) Expected to ditch parts ot Rosebank Road, Altena Road, Spruce Hill
Read, Staudinger problem, this year, and c..plete Liverpool draiaa.e.

entered into in the last month with subdividers on the lands known as Rouge
Highlands and Chesterhill SUbdivi'ions in the last month be passed by By-Law
to ensure that the contracts are valia and binding on the subdividers and the

MOVED by Mr. Stewart, seconded by Mr. Scott, that Mr. Jack Hambleton's oheque

BY-LAW NUMBER 2275
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Chapman, moves .for leave to introduce a By-Law
of the Township o.f Piokering to appoint a member, to the Piokering Distriot
High Sóhool Board and that same now be read a .first time.
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Stewart, moves that By-Law Number 2275 to appoint
a member to the Piokering District High School Board be now read a seoond
time, and that Counoil go into Committee of the Whole thereon.

Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Scott, moves that the report of the Committee of
the Whole on By-Law Number 2275 be adopted, and that the aai4 By-Law be now
read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk .iøn the same, and
the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto, CARRIED
(Mr. Burnett Jamiesom was appointed to the Piokering Distriet High School
Board for the years 1958, 1959 and 1960.)
AGREED that Council meet next on December 30, 1957.
