CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBBR 287 MOVED by Mr. Chapman, seconded by Mr. Pugh, that the Reeve proclaim Boxing Day, Thursday, December 26, 1957, a holiday tor the Township ot Pickering. MOTION LOST BY-LAW NUMBER 2275 Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Chapman, moves .for leave to introduce a By-Law of the Township o.f Piokering to appoint a member, to the Piokering Distriot High Sóhool Board and that same now be read a .first time. Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Stewart, moves that By-Law Number 2275 to appoint a member to the Piokering District High School Board be now read a seoond time, and that Counoil go into Committee of the Whole thereon. ttie Committee or the Whole arises and reports the· By-Law as read. - - Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Scott, moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law Number 2275 be adopted, and that the aai4 By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk .iøn the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto, CARRIED (Mr. Burnett Jamiesom was appointed to the Piokering Distriet High School Board for the years 1958, 1959 and 1960.)
