Campkin asked permission to move "Winters" Hardware, t~mporary buildi] a few lots east and be used for an electrical appliance show room. MOVED by Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Scott, that as August 6 is a holiday, Council meet August 1, 1956. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mrs. McPherson that the pavement contracts be awarded as follows: (recommended by Mr. Ruddy) K. J. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Pugh, that Consumers' Gas Company be permitted to.lay mains on Concession 1 from Scarborough Town Line to Dunbarton. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Pugh, that Council accept James Crawford's deed for corner cut off at Concession 3, Lot 27, for $25.00 and fence. CARRIED AGREED Clerk get three week's holidays for 1956. CLERK'S INSTRUCTIONS ,1. Get agreement, Winters temporary store. \2. Get plans for Crusader Development sewer. >3. Arrange meeting at Harwood School at 8 P. M. July )0, of ratepayers in area re fire equipment. >4. Get report on Hardware store from Mr. Prouse and have him condemn house on Glendale ,Drive. - 3 - .5. Contact Dr. Dyment re Health Unit and North Pickering Police. >6. Arrange for employing Bursary Student for Health Department, but not Miss Stewart. >7. Get breakdown of $135,000.00 proposed Area 3 School. )8.
