Noraan Irish stated he has 6t acres of land and should be classified as a farmer and garbage collector. Council agreed he should not be classified as a farmer and regretted he could not be excluded. Roy Green purchaser of 50 acre Percy Farm at GreeD River for a Park, asked permission to live in proposed booth until November 1st, when he gets possession of far. house. Council agreed for three .onths period, which may be extended. Kin2 se:trave Limited, price for 400 gal. fire fighting equipment mounted on Merc T Truck, complete, $ 10,325.00. F. J. Prouse, report Permits, June 1956. 46 Permits, estimated value, . 338,300.00. 25 Dwellings, ayerage, $12, 300.00. Grand and Toy shipped by Barclay Transport furniture to office in Februar7, 1956, delivery Brough&ll. Charge was $ 25.00. They ct-l.imed regular cartage, $ 8.00, and asked Council to pay difference. NO ACTION Police Commission advised that Reeve Ne_n is authorized to approve July and August Police accounts, as there will be no .eetings in those months. Mr. A. Dand again asked that Council con.,ider his request for exclusion from the Garbage Area. NO ACTION 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. R. E. Sims, County of Ontario Engineer, discussed the County proposal that the Base Line from Whitby Town Line to Liverpool be assumed as a County Road providing the Department of Highways would give sufficient grant for the building of this road to make it on a par with Highway 2 to be used as a By-Pass road, and the Township would agree to close the Pickering Beach Road, Station Road and Brock Road at 401 Highway. Council agreed in principle to the closing of the Pickering Beach Road and Station Road but felt that the Brock Road should be served with a Clover Lear as it was the main artery to Brock Township. Mr. KruDDa of Pickering Beach, was interested in Fire protection for his 8,r,ea. Would like a Fire Truck Station at Pickering Beach, but would not objeot to one at Harwood BriTe. Did not think small trailer pump could be eperated successfully. Mrs. Lon~ham and Mrs. Clemmer asked Council for a good coat of calcium Chloride in front of their homes in Concession 5, Lots 12 and 13, because of gravel trucks, and asked that speed of gravel trucks be checked. Council agreed that calcium be put on next day. Mr. Badali! owner of Lot 13, Plan 489, 100 foot lot, asked permission to build a Sl~ foot house on lot parallel to Highway 2, .s two corners of house would be a little nearer lot lines than requiréd ~ By-Law. Mr. Goslin asked that he and his staff be páid overtime as he believed extra time .ould be needed to get Rollout by October 1st. NO ACTION Harold SDencer, Lot 1, Concession 9, asked payment for road fence which he moved so that Town Line could be widened. - 2 - .4. A. J. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Scott, seconded by Mrs. MCPherson, that Mr. Badali be permitted to build an SIt foot house on Lot l~, Plan 489, according to Plan submitted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Scott, that Harold Spencer be paid 12.00 per rod for 1!0 rods fence moved back from original location in Concession 9, Lot 1, for road widening. ..,. CARRIED The Reeve appointed Messrs. Scott, Lawson, and James Lynn, a Committee of Adjustment under the Planning Act. AGREED to pay tuition fees (160.00) for any Assessment Commissioner to take Assessment Courses given by correspondence from Queen's UniTersity.
