An Emergent Meeting of Council was held on TUESDAY the THIRTEENTH day of
DECEMBER, 1955, at EIGHT o'clock in the evening.
PRESENT: George T. Todd, in the Chair

Mr. Ruddy reported he had viewed "Todd's Field", found that a rink 100 feet
by 150 feet could easily be levelled under the lights at small cost to the
Township if the grader would not break through the frost.
AGREED that the road grader try to level ground for a rink in "Todd's Field"
if permission is first secured from Mr. Todd that work may be done.
Mr. Ruddy reported he had contacted Mr. Moore re Polanyi action, but had
no written statement that action was withdrawn.
MOVED by Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Lawson, that copies of all Township
Minutes be sent Press and following Ratepayers' Associations: West Rouge,
Rosebank, East Woodlands, Liverpool, Fairport Beach.
AGREED 5/8" meter price to subdividers be $ 22.00.
BY-LAW NUMBER 2122
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Lawson, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of
the Township of Pickering to appoint member to the Pickering District High
School Board, and that same now be read a first time.
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Scott, moves that By-Law Number 2122 to appoint
member to the Pickering District High School Board, be now read a second time,
and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.

General Maintenance Man for the West Rouge Water Area System be now read a
second time and 60uncil go into Committee of the Whole thereon.

the Township of Pickering to adopt an agreement to attach to By-Law Number
2111, which amends Pension Plan By-Law Number 1876, and that same now be read
a first time.

agreement to attach to By-Law Number 2111, which amends Pension Plan By-Law
Number 1876, be now read a second time, and the 60uncil go into Committee of
the Whole thereon.

CLERK'S INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare Nomination By-Law for 1956 - one week earlier and at night.
2. Advertise road closing - sideline between Lots 34 and 35, Broken Front,
Range 1, from C. N. R. to 50 feet north.
3. Call for Tenders for three-quarter ton truck for Road Boss.
