PRESENT: Reeve George T. Todd, Deputy-Reeve William G. Newman Councillor William G. Lawson Councillor Sidney S. Pugh Councillor J. Sher.man Scott Clerk L.T.Johnston Roads Engineer Brian Ruddy. CORRESPONDENCE received :- 1. 2. 3· 4· 5· 6. 7. 8. 9. Dr. P.W.J.Loos report on "Matt's Grill". Ordered to instal inside flush toilets within one month. Now closing at 10 p.m. Dr. Loos report on swimming pools. R.D.H.P. Conservation Authority minutes of June 29th, 1955, meeting _ Kilborn Engin~ering Company have been engaged to make survey of Duffin's Creek at No.2 Highway and Riverside. Committee set up to study division of costs of same. A. R. Villeneuve, Con.l, Lot 29, applied for a wrecking yard. Brurmer-Mond Sales advising Calcium in short supply. Proctor, Redfern and Laughlin, advising they have let contract to John Patterson Construction Company for a channel to filter bed at additional cost of $2,100.00, which sum is chargeable to Chester Hill Development Corporation. Lyons, Concession 2, Lot 23, asked for a kennel license. MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr. Lawson, that a wrecking license be refused A.R.Villeneuve due to location in semi-built-up area. CARRIED. MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr. Scott, that Clerk order 48 tons calcium chloride from Brurmer Mond. CARRIED. MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr.pugh, that the Clerk secure 5 copies "Civic Administration" for 6 months. CARRIED. MOVED by Mr.. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Newman, that a kennel license be granted James H. Lyons, Concession 9, Lot 23. CARRIED. MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr. Scott, that the south-west corner of Lot 32 in Concession 4, 43 ft by 378 feet (half) be purchased for road widening fram Hornshaw Brothers, at a price of $1,000. per acre. Ask Dr. Loos to check Cedar Glen swimming pool re complaint that sides are slimy and slippery, which caused a serious head injury. 2. Get copy of regulations Chapter 306, Section 5, re swimming pools. 3. Get from Toronto information re regulating parks. 4. Write Mrs. Davis of Morgandale to placard deep holes in Rouge River on her property. 5. Advise Mr. Tulk that he will be held responsible should water back up from his operations on to the road. 6.
