One Dollar a year.
E. Crooks agreed to supply Police cars with gas at Three Cents reduoed price.
Will Motors agreed to supply Polioe cars with gas at Three Cents reduced price.
T. M. Moore approved Council signing deed of transf'er 33 root roadway in

le following PERSONS, on MOTION were heard:
l. A. J. Thompson reported as By-Law Enforoement Officer on three applications
ror Wrecking Licenses: Robert Cronkwright, Allison's Garage, and Jos. Barjak.
2. Mrs. Newell, Concession 6, Lot 2, asked ror a oulvert into the rear of her
property as there had been one there previously, but as road was graded it was
now of no use.
3. Mr. Smith, of Frenchman's Bay, asked permission to build a Servioe Station on
50 foot lot iu~ediately north of road to park. Directed to get permit rrom
Mr. Prouse.
4. Chier Hill disoussed (l) Matt's Grill. (2) Unprotected holes (foundations,
unfinished wells, and cisterns) etc.

5. Walter Miln~ asked ror a grant ror Markham Fair Board, suggesting an increase
beoause 1955 is the Fair's Centennial.
6. H. G. Michell discussed drainage, Markham Townline.
7. Mr. Crang stated he wished to subdivide 61 acres in Concession B.F. R.3, Lot 6,
formerly owned by Mr. Bradshaw. As Municipal water was necessary, he agreed
to use his influence with Town or Ajax ror a supply.
8. Johnþa~submitted prices for insurance.
9. ~~. Morley submitted prioes ror insurance.
AGREED prices to be charged for Warble Fly Spray be.all stable of cattle - l5¢
each, each spray; or cattle 6 months and under 3 years, 25¢ each, each spray.

MOVE~ by Mr. Newman, seoonded by Mr. Pugh, that the ~egular grant of $50.00, plus
J;25.00 extra be paid Markham Fair Board as this is their Centennial. CARRIED
MOVED by Mr. Lawson, seoonded by Mr. Scott, that Tender or E. Darby & Sons f'or
¡4,300.00 to sod stake on wire mesh be aooepted ror approximately 8,000 square
yards Dunbarton By Pass road, as Department of Highways;' have ~pproved payment.

MOVED by Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Lawson, that as His Honour Judge Pritchard has
ofrioially deolared Robert Steeèt (never declared a Township or Village road) in
Plan 9~, Village or Claremont, closed, and as a Deed has been prepared showing a
similar 33 foot road, 83 reet to the south of rormer road, the Reeve and Clerk
be authorized to sign a Deed in ravour or Jaoob Taylor for original road allowance.

Government holiday, that it be observed as such in the Township or Pickering.

Daylight Saving Time in conrormity with the City of Toronto, and on the date set
by the said City. CARRIED

Five Dollãrs for purebred Toggenburg doe killed by dogs. CARRIED

to cost of Township taking over said road.

pumps on Township roads.
3. Write Markham Township about drainage, Townline from No.7 Highway one mile
north.
4. Write Shell Oil about gas pump for Police Station.
5. Write agreement for selling sod on gravel pit (Soden) ir they will pay $250000
6. Arrange for Pickering Village to discuss revision S. S. 2, and S. S. 4 West.
7. Write Honorable C. E. Winters, Minister of PublË Works about possibility of
Township purchasing Ajax water system, together with other Municipalities.
8. Write Fire Marshall re safety Publio Buildings. <.
9. Write S. Fairbarrn about Publio Hall License.
