February 9th, 1955, be adopted. CARRIED
MOVED by Mr. Newman, seoonded by Mr. Pugh, that Minutes of meeting held
February 14th, 1955, be adopted. CARRIED

The rollowing PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard:
1. F. J. Prou8e re building.
2. H.~rt Patterson, Westeel Company - solioiting business.
3. Ernes~ Stroud - re parking in front or his store. Agreed to employ a
Policeman for two hours on Friday nights to direct trarfic.
4. Mr. Witzke asked that road at rear of his property in Concession B.F.
R. 3, Lot 33, be opened. Advised this is a private road and he would
be requested to submit plans to Planning Board.
5. Mr. McEwen, Plan 270, Lot 46, Fairport Beaoh complained about water not
getting away from his lot. Counoil agreed. to inspeot.

Mr. Jackson, or Toronto Daily Star, agreed to make over 100 additional
road signs for urban area.

11. Mr. Fairgrieve~ complained about holes in Spruce Hill Road.
12. Bill Fertile advised Counoil that Frenchman's Bay are building a
Community Hall 40 feet by 60 reet in Park grounds. They asked Council
to dig the foundation and level the Ball Park Diamond. Advised to
let Council know when they WOuld be ready ror excavation work.
13. Mr. Redrern, of Proctor, Redfern and Laughlin, submitted a report on
water for Rouge West, with alternative suggestions re rates and areas.

Committee on LIVESTOCK, as just read, be adopted. CARRIED
MOVED by Mr. Newman, seconded by Mr. Lawson, that the Treasurer be authorized
to pay the acoounts as submitted by the various Committees this day.

BY-LAW NUMBER 2075
1st Reading:
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Lawson, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law or
the Township of Pickering to appoint a Warble Fly Inspector for the year
1955, and that same now be read a first time.
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Newman, moves that By-Law Number 2075 to appoint
a Warble Fly Inspector for the year 1955 be now read a second time, and that
Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. Pugh, seconded by Mr. Scott, moves that the report or the Committee
of the Whole on By-Law Number 2075 be adopted, and that the said By-Law
be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same
and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED
BY-LAW NUMBER 2076
Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Pugh, moves f'or leave to introduce a By-Law or
the Township of' Pickering to assess the Munioipality or the Township of
Piokering, including the Polioe Village or Claremont, for a general Public
Sohool rate to provide f'unds for the Township statutory grants to public
schools in the year 1955, and that same now be read arirst time.
Mr. Soott, seconded by Mr. Newman, moves that By-Law Number 2076 to assess
the Municipality of the Township or Piokering, including the Police Village
or Claremont, for a general Public Sohool rate to provide funds for the
Township statutory grants to publio schools in the year 1955, be now read a
seoond time, and that Council go into Committee or the Whole thereon.
The Committee or the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
Mr. Scott, seconded by Mr. Lawson, moves that the Report of the Committee
or the Whole on By-Law No. 2076 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be"
now read a third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same,
and that the Seal of the Corporation be arf'ixed thereto. CARRI~~
