Our Engineer estimates the cost of Cowan Road in Plan 418 to be approximately $2.600.00. 2. James Taylor enquires about his proposed By-law to regulate salvage yards. Council will pass December l~th. 3. Board of School Area No.2 make application for $36,000.00 debentures to add 2 rooms to West Rouge School. See By-Law 29~1. 4. Board of School Area No.2 make application for $lO~,OOO.OO debentures to add 4 rooms to Sir John A. MaéDonald School. See By-Law 29~2. 5. By-Law - Local Improvement, water to Dunbarton High School at 'cost of approximately $100,947.00. 6. By-Law - to increase size of Water Area No. I, taking in area 200 feet east of Fairport Road north to Canadian National Railway" west to 200 feet west of Rosebank Road, south to Highway ~Ol. 7. Stevens. Hassard & Elliott submit partial discharge forms for approximately 1 acre where Satok built l3,OOO square foot factory on Industrial Road. See By-Law 29~0. 8. Stevens, Hassard & Elliott, re Consolidated Building Corporation proposed 21 lots for 5 acre school site, Township can charge $500.00 fee per lot if nêw registered plan, and this is a condition. The following PERSONS were HEARD. l. Murray Russell supported one Fire rate in Township. 2. Harold Mitchell asked for a Township grant of $158.51 equal to 1963 andl96~ taxes on Kiwanis Park. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 428/6~ MQVED by Mr. Wank, seco~ded by Mr. Campbell, that Resolution No. ~20/f)~ bi amended so that agreement is altered so Leasebuy and Traders' Real~y Ltd. accept irrevocable direction to repay Township as per terms of . original draft. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 429/6~ MOVED by Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Newman, that the Township Engineer be authorized to call Tenders for 27,000 G.V.W. Motor Truck complete with Dump and Hoist, as recommended by the Road Committee December I, 196~; subject to approval by Department of Highways of Ontario. CARRIED " RESOLUTION NUMBER ~30/6~ MOVED by Mrs. McPherson. seconded by Mr. Spang, that the Township Engineer be authorized to call Tenders for Motor Grader with Snow Plow and Wing. as recommended by the Road Committee December 1, 1964; subject to approval by Department of Highways of Ontario. CARRIED RESOLUTION NUMBER 431/64 MOVED by Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Wank, that this Council does hereby endorse the recommendation of the Planning Board on December 3. 196~, and directs that Section ~ of By-law 2875, being a by-law to amend By-law 2790, be repealed and the following inserted therefor: "Section 6.1.2 be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following: continued.. .... 3 Resolution No. ~3l/6~ - cont'd facilities for the ra~s~ng of fur-bearing animals, kennels and similar uses, not generally permitted throughout the rural areas, will be dealt with individually in special amending by-laws in conformity with the provisions as set out in the Official Plan." and that such restriction be applicable under this resolution until incorporated in a general amending by-law. Fire Department water carrier, and that this offer of sale be advertised in the local press. AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Clerk inform the Chief of Council's concern in his previous actions regarding resolution No. 423/64, and further that the Chief be instructed as to the correct procedures to be used in matters concerning both tenders and offers. The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read. BY-LAW NUMBER 294~ (Two Readings) Mrs. McPherson. seconded by Mr. Campbell, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of the Township of Pickering to authorize the construction of a watermain on the streets set out 'herein as a Local Improvement under the provisions of The Local Improvement Act. and that same now be read a first time. CARRIED 'M MOVED by Mr. Spang. seconded by Mr. Waring. that the report of the Standing Committee on PROPERTY, recommending payment of accounts amounting to $l.010.0~, be adopted. CARRIED .~ Councillor Wank reported on report that there was a great deal of raw sewage and toilet papers in sludge taken from sewage plant. He said that the Engineer stated such was not and could not be possible as all waste was reduced to matter that looked like blue clay. Mr. Wank asked that Council not discuss complaints unless they are on paper and signed by the complainant. It was agreed that the Planning Director contact Consolidated Building Corporation and suggest that if they wished a subdivision on Blk. P 5 acres, they submit a plan of -subdivision and agree to the normal $500.00 fee per lot. \. Councillor Newman recommended that the present 13 Committees be reduced to half for 1965. Clerk report on possible difficulties of voting with part of School Area No. 1 in Wards 3. ~ and 5. Treasurer report on why more than one cheque to a firm on reports.
