Board of Arbitrators reported that application to form a Union Public School with all of Sc~ool Section 17, Pickering, and part of School Section R, rxbr1ð~e, was turned 10wn because: (1) Majority of ratepayers in Sectjon (Uxbridge) against Union, (2) Create hardship by taxation on balance of School Section 6, Uxbridge. (3) That the present school is centrally located, has a bus service in operation, and that if this application were granted, further annexation cou11 be expected. 2. Deputy Reeve McPherson anli Councillor Ashton asked the Reeve why the Ontario Water Resources Commission was hol~ing Crusa~er up on a sewage disposal plant. Reeve Scott explainer'1 that there ha1 'been numerous meetings with Dr. Berry, w'ho was at r:f rst a ~:dt1st a riisposa 1 system just east of Frenchman's nay j then 'he agreed to a plant of 1,000,000 gallonsi~ánd now he seems more favourable to a 2,500,000 gallon plant. Reeve Scott. and Hr. Jefrerson both stated that t.he Township could not afford to huilrt two sewage plants to serve the Crusader TIevelopment. Mr. Jefferson stated the Engineers had met Dr. Berry last Friday, wren the Doctor asked for·an Engineer's report on plans for sewage for the 'rownship sout.h of Concessiol1 3. Spang, that this Council authorize Marshall, Mackli.n, and Monaghan to complete a survey for a sewage disposal area or areas in that part of the TO~vnship of Pickering bounded by: The Township of Scarborough on the West, t.11e Township of Whitby on the East the northerly limit of Concession 2 on the North, Lake Ontario on the South; at the expense of the Crusader Development Corporation Limited.
