127, being an application to O.W.R.C. to build a sewage plant in West

County Assessor advises William Glifldon has passed his final examin-
ations for membership in Institute of Municipal Assessors of Ontario.

5. Resolution re Buildin~ Inspector to withhold permits on lands until
passed by Engineer, if he feels the building on such lands would
create problems re drainage. Reeve to discuss with Engineer and
Building Inspector.

Solicitors for East Flamborough Township have received a copy of our
Crusader Agreement and consiiler it is "one of the most complete
Agreements that the writer had ever had the pleasure of examining."

Mr. Chapman recommends price if5 yards of gravel dumped first for
base. See Resolution No. 163.

Town of Richmond Hill ask Council to endorse a resolution to petition
Federal Government and Minister of P1anning to hold a judicial inquiry
into "New houses being abandoned because of high interest rates,
bonuses on mortgages and over-mortgaged homes." See Resolution No. 160.

10. Brou~ham School and Christian Church 100 years old this year. Celebration
planned for June 20th. Could Municipa~ Building De decorated for occasion. '
"ABC Display" have submitted prices for decorating. See Resolution No. 158.
11. Dpu~las J. PIitz, Treasurer, was successful in passing his first year
Clerk-Treasurer's examination, set by the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer
Administration, Queen's University. See Resolution No. 162.
12. H. A. Newman requested permission to lay a septic tile aOr,oss sideline be-
tween Lots 14 & 15 , Concession 6, to serve house on west side of road
and use level lands of Mr. Newman on east side for septic tank bed.

13. Tax Collector reports May collections $6,673.89. Ba1ace arrears, $81,420.75.

same on 10 days' notice if required by the Township, and assuming responsibility
and liability for any damage incurred during installation or maintenance of same~
and that the Township assume no responsibility for damage to the tile from any

AGREED that any Councillor who wished to see graders work contact Mr. Chapman.
AGREED that Fire Area No. 1 volunteers be paid to December 31st, not December 1st,
each year.
BY-LAW NUMBER 2415
Mrs. McPherson, seconde1 by Miss Swan, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law
of the Township of Pickering designating'Through Highways in the Township of
Pickering and to amend part of By-Law Number 1904, and that same now be read a
first time.
Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves that By-Law Number 2415 designating
Through Highways in the Township of Pickering and to amend part of By-Law No.
1904, be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole
thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-law as read.
Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Hawthorne, moves that the report of the Committee
of the Whole on By-Law No. 2415 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now read
a Third time and PASSED. that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of
the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED
CLERK'S INSTRUCTIONS
1. Reeve Scott discuss By-Law No. 2305 re house levels with Engineer and
Building Ißspector
2. Clerk check road to Dog Pound with Pickering Village Clerk.
3. Clerk check with Road Superintendent of Township of Thorah, Town of Whitby,
Township of Scarborough re opinions of Champion Grader.
4. Clerk ask Fire D~partments to submit men's time to December 31st.
5. Clerk submit total audit cost for next meeting.
