1'he followil'g PERSONS, on MOTION, were heard:
1. Messrs. Anthonv and McNalley, of Whitevale, who wish to provide swimnling
for chililren, asked that the Township assist them with a hulldozer to
clear a hole ir Duffir' s Creek. It was agreed Hr. Chapmar1 meet Hr.
Tiptor rext day he is home and submit a report or: work ani cost. ?vIr.
Tipton call Clerk when he is availahle.
2. Mr. Austin Metcalfe stated a dog owned hy Mrs. Breeze, or Hamlin, was
rurnir~ at large and he had to take his children to school. He had
contacted Hr. Cane ard Mr. Gerigs but the dog was still at large.
AGREED Mr. Spang contact Mr. Gerigs, also ]vIr. Metcalfe.phone when.the
dog was at large.
3. Hr. Frank Prouse explai.ned how he issuer) Building Permits. He
required plans before a permit was issued, then made from 3 to 20
inspections as the building progresseil. He submitted a proposed
By-Law which would repeal four buililirg hy-laws and amalgamate them
into one phlS a few changes he felt were desirable. It was agreed
that the By-Law should be passed on to the Planning Board for
approval. Occupancy permits were discussed.
4. Mr. Donald Re_d.ùu:r1., of Proctor aril Redfern again discussed the
proposerl water system at Brock Road. Stated cost of' project $750,000.00;
a1 rual pay~ert ~ô7,000.00 - 30 year - irterest on debentures, $53,000.00.
Capital reserve, $ô,OOO.OO; operation, $8,000.00. Water area should
be 2500 acres. Estimated completior date of project - Fall, 1960.
Several proposed water areas were suggested and agreed if'f'ormation
would be made available.
5. Mr. T. Tester stated he was available as assistant Building Inspector,
with considerable experience. Applicatior> filed.
6. Mr. William Fair~rieves submitted a petition of' owners in his area who
had no objection to his kennel.

MOVED by Mr. Hawthorne, seconded hy Mr. Ashtof', that ~Ir. T. O. Jeff'erson, who
was appointed Er~gineer of the Township anrl commenced work December 1, 1958, on
a three months' prohationary perioil, be placed on the permanent staf'f as
Engineer of the Township as of March 1, 1959. CARRIED

petition of ratepayers of School Section ~umber 17 requesting "that they be permit·
to form a Union School Section with a part of the Township of Uxbridge, and that
Mr. W. H. Westney be and he is hereby appoirterl an arbitrator to represent the
Towf1ship of Pickerin.g to adjust assets. CAHRIED
