A meeting of Pickering Township Council was held on MONDAY, the
TWENTY-SIXTH day of JULY, 1965, at EIGHT o~clock p. m.

Due to certain urgency in matters pertaining to construction work.
Reeve Laycox thought it expedient to call a council meeting to
deal with awarding tenders. It was felt that since all tenders had
been opened at an earlier council meeting (July 19, 1965) on the
basis that the lowest tender be accepted. subject to the approval
of the Enginee~ and who was instructed to examine each, that this
procedure was in order.
Tenders for a culvert at Sideline 28 and 29. Concession 7, were
opened. and resulted as followst

MOVE~ by Mrs. McPherson. seconded by Mr. Spang. that Ganaraska
Bridge Company Limited be awarded the contract for the installation
of the concrete culvert on Sideline 28/29. Concession 7, at the
tendered price of $32.354.70. subject to the approval of the
Department of Highways of Ontario. it being the lowest tender.

Company Limited be awarded the contract for the installation of the
concrete culvert on Sideline 34/35, Concession 2, at the tendered

Construction Limited be awarded the contract for the installation
of watermains to the Dunbarton High School at the tendered price
of $86,609.30 and that the Reeve and Clerk be authorized to sign
the contract on behalf of the Corporation of the Township d Pickering.

Limited be awarded the contract for the supply and placing of Hot
Laid Asphalt at the following tendered prices: HL3 @ $6.13 per
ton, HL4 @ $6.03 per ton. HL8 @ $5.83 per ton, based on the approx-
imate quantities of 350 tons Hl3, 800 tons HL4, and 700 tons HL8,
subject to the approval of the Department of Highways of Ontario.

Company Limited be awarded the supply and appliance of approximately
12,500 gallons of Bituminous Prime at 22 cents per gallon, the supply
and appliance of approximately 28,000 gallons of R.S.2 Asphalt at
24.5 cents per gallon and the appliance only of approximately 950
tons of 3/8" gravel chips at $2.80 per ton, subject to the approval
of the Department of Highways of Ontario. CARRIED
