A meeting of Pickering Township Council was held on MONDAY,
the TWELFTH day of JULY, 1965, at 10:15 o'clock p. m.

Reeve Layc~x explained that he had called Council into session
in view of the urgency of making Brock Road a Through Street
at the intersection of Brock Road and Montgomery Park Road.
As the majority of members were present for a joint meeting
of Council and Planning Board with the Metropolitan Toronto
Advisory Board. he felt it was aA .-:. opportunity to expedite
this matter.
RESOLUTION NUMBER 262/65
MOVED by Mr~ Newman, seconded by Mr. Campbell, that the salaries
of the clerk. deputy clerk, and the deputy treasurer be increased
by $400 per annum, each to become effective on August I, 1965.

BY-LAW NUMBER 3016 (Third Reading)
Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Wank, moves that the repoFt of
the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 3016 to stop up and close
road allowance between Lots 20 and 21, Range II, Broken Front
Cencession, Township of Pickering. be adopted, and that the said
By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and
Clerk sign the same. and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed
thereto. CARRIED
BY-LAW NUMBER 3017 (Third Reading)
Mr. Spang, seconded by Mr. Campbell, moves that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-Law Number 3017 to stop up and close
Union Road in the Hamlet of Brougham, be adopted. and thãt the said
By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and
Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed
thereto. CARRIED
BY-LAW NUMBER 3033
Mrs. McPheFson, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves for leave to intro-
duce a By-Law of the Township of Pickering to designate th~ough
highways in the Township of Pickering and to amend By-Law No. 2428,
and that same now be read a first time.
Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Campbell, moves that By-Law
Number 3033 to designate through Highways in the Township of
Pickering and to amend By-Law No. 2428, be read a second time and
Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read.
Mrs. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Newman. moves that the report of
the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 3033 be adopted, and that
the said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve
and Clerk sign the same. and the Seal of the Corporation be fi
