County, of Ontario advise that Liverpool Road from Highway 401 south to a point 1000 feet south of the Base Line has been retumed by them to the Township. 5. Ajax Dairy request Council to ask The Milk Control Board that they be permitted to serve the whole or the Township of Picke~ng, as all Ajax Dairy milk comes from Pickering Township except for one farmer. 6. Mr. ~iiack and partner wish to operate a boatorama and lumber yard.· the large quonset buildings north of Highway 401 on east side of Valley Farm Road. This area zoned MI, which does not permit. the use of a lumber yard. AGREED that Mr. Levack arrange to meet the Planning Board for apptroval. ~ by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Boyes, that Mr. Cane be heard: CARßIED " - 2 - 2. A. W. Cane objected to the manner in which the petition for water in East Rouge is being circulated and stated ratepayers were not sufficiently informed as to cost. MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Laycox, that Mr. Robert Duncombe be heard. CARRIED 3. Robert Duncombe, of East Rouge, agreed with Mr. Caners objections. MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Deakin that Mr. H. Wank be heard. CARRIED 4. Mr. H. Wank stated that in one week they had secured 65% of the owners in East Rouge to sign the petition for water in East Rouge and expected to get 92% of resident population to sign. He stated they had informed the residents as to costs and the possibilities of sewers shortly that the petition supplied by the Clerk had been abandoned in favour of one they had prepared. MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Deakin that Mr. Anthony be heard. CARRIED 5. Mr. K. Anthony stated the petition for water in East Rouge was progressing favourably and they expected to obtain 95% of owners on such petition. MOVED by Mr. James, seconded by Mr. Spang, that Mr. Hodgson be heard. CARRIED 6. Mr. G. Hod~son, of Pauline Park, objected to paying $2.00 to dump a small trailer load of garbage at Dump. It was AGREED by Council to further discuss the cost for the dumping of small loads of garbage. RESOLUTION NUMBER 107/61 MOVED by Mr. Mowbray seconded by Mr. Spang, that the Clerk be instructed to write to the Milk Control Board requesting that Ajax Dairy be permitted to deliver milk throughout the whole of the Township. CA RßI ED RESOLUTION NUMBER 108/61 MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Deakin, that Mr. Johnston be ~ authorized to include in his call for tenders additional insurance coverage for actual cost value ($30,100.00) of all office equipment. RESOLUTION NUMBER 109/6l (See Below) CARRIED BY-LAW NUMBER 2594 (Third Readin~) The Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2594 to create a new School Section in the Township of Pickering to replace Union School Section Number 2, arises and reports the By-Law as read. Mr. Mowbray, seconded by Mr. Deakin, moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2594 be adopted, and that the said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSEDJ tbat the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED BY-LAW NUMBER 2597 Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Spang, moves for leave to introduce a By-Law of the Township of Pickering to appoint a second Warble-Fly Inspector of the said Township, and that same now be read a First time. (Mr. Frank Beelby) RESOLUTION NUMBER 109/61 MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Laycox that Council approve the revised draft plan of Blook "Y" in Plan M-16, Bay Ridges, dated March 15, 1961, and approvf_ by the Planning Board on March 17, 1961. CARRIED - 3 - By-Law No. 2597 (Continued) Mr. DeaK1n, seconded by Mr. Mowbray, moves that By-Law Number 2597 to appoint a second Warble-Fly Inspector of the said Township, be now read a second time, and that Council go into Committee of the Whole thereon. The Committee of the Whole arises and reports the By-Law as read. Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Boyes, moves that the report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 2597 be adopted, and that the , said By-Law be now read a Third time and PASSED; that the Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and the Seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED ACCOUNTS MOVED by Mr. Deakin seconded by Mr. Mowbray, that the accounts, in the amount of $1,486.36, as presented by the FIRE COMMITTEE, be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Deakin, seconded by Mr. Laycox, that the accounts, in the amount of $5,718.37, as presented by the POLICE COMMITTEE, be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Boyes, seconded by Mr. James that the accounts, in the amount of $4,784.10, as presented by the WORKS COMMITTEE, be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Boyes, seconded by Mr. Deakin, that the accounts, in the amount of $1,564.65, as presented by the WATER COMMITTEE be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Laycox, seconded by Mr. Spang, that the accounts, in the amount of $ l37.50 as presented by the RECREATION COMMITTEE, be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Mowbray, seconded by Mr. Spang, that the accounts, in the amount of $l,029.90þ as presented by the BY-LAW COMHI.r!'EE~·, be adopted. CARRIED MOVED by Mr. Mowbray, seconded by Mr. James, that the accounts, in the amount of $4,286.04, as presented by the WELFARE COMMITTEE, be adopted. CA, îD IT WAS AGREED that insurance on office equipment should çarry a special endorsement on cost of completed assessment p¡a.tes~ Reeve Scott stated he had a number of objections from owners of homes near the new Heliport operated by Fra~ Ogdenþof Lot 26 Con. 2, because of noise. It has been asce~~ined that Mr. Ogden had a licence from the Federal Department of T~nsport, so it was agreed that any objector to noise had the r~ght to appeal to the Federal Minister of Transport. IT WAS AGREED that the Garage and Plumbing Licensing By-Laws be read a third time on May l 1961. On MOTION of Mr. Laycox, the meeting adjourned. APPROVED ~¡L 1961
