Sherman Scott, in the Chair H. Ross Hawthorne Harvey Spang Harry Boyes Ross Deakin Clifford Laycox L. T. Johnston, Clerk The following CORRESPONDENCE was read: 1. Metro Toronto Conservation Authority acknowle~ge receipt of Resolution No. 155 re "Development Road." to serve Conservation Authority parks, an~ agree to co-operate. 2. Townshiv of Uxbri~.e::e en~orse this Township's Resolution No. 155 re a "Development Road" to serve Conservation Authority parks. 3. Devartment of HiZhways approval, $130,300.00 Roa~ Expen~iture By-Law. 4. R. A. Jones, owner of Lot 138, Plan 331, asks Council to sell him part of Lot 137, Plan 331, for $50.00, sai~ lot bought by D. H. O. for road wi~ening of Hil1view Avenue. Roa~ Superinten- ~ent recommen~s that it be not sol~. See Resolution No. 195/60. 5. Mrs. Jean McPherson state~ that Deputy-Reeve Hawthorne should not vote on the question of Mr. Baker's employment because he was preju~ice~. CARRIED BY-LAW NUMBER 2514 Mr. Spang, seconde~ by Mr. Deakin, moves that By-Law Number 2514 to appoint a Weed Inspector to carry out the provisions of the Wee~ Control Act in the Township of Pickering ~uring the year 1960, be now rea~ a first time.
