A Meeting of Council was held on FRIDAY, the EIGHTEENTH day of DECEMBER~ '19~3, co-~.~ encing at the hour of ONE' O'CLOCK in the afternoon. PI~ESENT: Reeve George T. Todd, in the Chair, Deputy Reeve Clare A. Balsdon, Council~lor William G. Newman, Councillor Hugh G. Michell, and Councillor William G. Lawson. Mm. T. M. Moore again presented the ZONING BY-LAW for WEST ROU~E; · wo amendments were made to the teco~'~ ReAding, and a ~-~in~ was givam. Messrs Morley, Bra~, Balsdon and Hogarth of Picketing Village were heard: They asked if they might be permitted to purchase police protection from the Township, if requi~ed, for the month of Januar] 1~: Also they reqUested permission to purchase frc~ Township rough g~avel or sand to backfill part of thet~ watermains, Nme° E. ~.~ Bmkex- asked' permismion to withdraw from the Pemsion Plan Employee deduction $369.89--pa~t service $1~6.00. MOVED hymn. Newman, seconded by M~. Michell, that CoUncil recomme~ to the Police Commission that the Township of Picketing police the Village of Picketing for the month of Janusmy, 19~, if approved the Village Council, f~ the sum of $325.00, and that, if a fu~thex agreement- i~ made~ with Picketing Village for the fullyear 1~, th] sum. will be a payment on account, but the said arrange~emt shall no way set a pattern for a 19~ agreement.
