2. F. J. ?rOuse, asked that, al. 1 minimum floor areas,for house~ b% sa~e,
so that ~it would be more easy to enforce.
~.Irven McLean asked that 130 rods be ditched between Lots

~. Mr. Coupland, on Toynevale 'Road, asked permission to live in a
semi-fi~ished garage this winter. AGREED he could if he mad~ two~
Three Hundred Dollar deposits for one year.
5. Mr~ E~. K. Jones, Assessor, stated that the County Assessor would
not handle Newn~n Appeal before Municipal Board, and asked that he
be permitted an extension of si.xty days to return:his 1~53 -

dig a filtration gallery at Fairport during week of August 31st.

20. Petitiqn of 136 names requesting that ~icipal Building piazza

22. G. H. Cole, Riverside, asking that their road be taken .over by
Township.

Nr. Law~on~ seconded by Mr. Newman, moves for leave to introduce a By-
Law of the Eunicipality of the Township of Pickering to change certain
lots from Residential to Shopping Centre use, and that same now be
read a first time.
Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Nichell, moves that By-Law Number 1969
of the ~unicipality of the Township of Picketing to change certain lots
from Residential to Shopping Centre Use be now read a second time, and
that the ~cil go into Committee of the Whole thereon.
The Committee of theW hole then arose and reported.
Mr. Lawson, seconded by Mr. Balsdon, moves that the report of the
Committee of theW hole on By-Law Number 1969 be adopted, and that the
said By-Law be now read a third time and passed: That the Reeve and
Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the Corporation be affixed
thereto. CARRIED
