An Emergent ~eeting of Council was held on SATURDAY, the TWENTY-
EIGHTH day of FEBRUARY at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.

Mr. Clare Balsdon and SECONDED by i,~r. Wm. Newman moves for leave
to introduce a By-Law to Assess the Municipality of the Township
of Picketing, ~or the im~m~vement and repair of Roads and Bridges,
payment of salaries, the general expenses of the Corporations, to
defray the cost of Welfare, for this Municipalities share of the
cost of Roads and General Purposes of the County of Ontario and
to pay the Townships share of the cost of opeeations of the Pick-
ering District High School Board, for the year 1953:
and that same be now read a First time.
Mr. Clare Balsdon and SECONDED by Mr. Wm. Newman moves that By-
Law No. 19~moves for leave to introduce a By-Law to Assess the
Municipality of the Township of Picketing, for the improvement and
repair of Roads and Bridges, payment of salaries, the General
Expenses of the Corporations, to,fray the cost of Welfare, for
this Municipalities share of the cost of roads and general purposes
of the County of 0nt~ io and to pay the Townships share of the cost
of Operations of the Picketing District High School Board, for the
year 1953: and that same be now read a Second time, and that the
Council go into Committee c~ the Whole thereon.
~Lr' Clare Balsdon and SECONDED by Mr. ~. Newman moves that the
Report of the Committee of the Whole on By-Law No. 19;!;! be adopted,
and that the said By-Law be now read a Third time and passed:
that t he Reeve and Clerk sign the same, and that the seal of the
Corporation be affixed thereto. CARRIED
