Hugh G. Michell
On MOTION C. E. Morley was heard re Picketing water.
MOVED by Mr. Balsdon,-seconded by Mr. Burk, that WHERF~S the Police
V~ge of Picketing Trustees have suggested that a possible lesser
cost of $100,000.00 may be saved by getting water from Ajax than
from the source at Fifth Concession by the said Police Village in-
corporating into a Village; ~
AND WHEREAS it ~as been indicated by the Trustees of the Improvement
District o'f Ajax that water possibly would be available to the In-
corporated Village of Picketing at a reduced capital cost;
AND WHEREAS the Council feel that backing a Debenture of $258,000.00
For said Water from the Fifth Concession would seriously Jeopardize
the credit of the Township;
THEREFORE the Council recommend to the Police Village of Picketing
Trustees that they present a petition to the County Council, asking
that their Police Village be incorporated into a Village.
