A Meeting of Council was held on TUESDAy, the SECOND day of DECEMBER,
1952, commencing at TEN o'clock in the morning. ~

The MINUTES of the previous meeting, held November 3, 1952, were read,
and ~n MOTION of Mr. Burk, seconded by Mr. Michell, CARRIED.
The MINUTES of previous Emergent meeting, held November 17,-1952,
were read and on MOTION of Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Burk, CARRIED.
The following CORRESPONDENCE was read:
1. W. H. Westney - appreciation for approach to No. 2 Highway
Between Lots l0 - ll.
2. Petition of Port Union West RouEe Community Association asking
Council to tak necessary steps to have that portion of. Scarborough
School Area 2, which lies in Picketing Township, cede to form a
School Section of their own.
3. F' J' Prouse, Building Inspector - report for November, 1952.

4. Police Report for November, 1952:
"November has been a busy month. We have has several complaints~
of a sex fiend operating around our schools, which has made it
necessary for constant patrols in their vicinity. This is difficult
indeed as we .are short handed, and it means letting other details
wait. Several reports of mail being removed from the rural boxes,
and scattered on the roadways, and in some. instances stolen, is
causing us much concern. The need for more men is imperative. The
area is rapidly becoming unsafe for females to walk our roads after
dark, and with our limited staff the office is often left while
the man on duty attends a petty call or complaint."

FOrce everyone' 'to eliminate ragweed. NO ACTION
7- No action was taken to reconsider Cecil Storr~ payment for one
extra sheep sent Toronto after sheep "~amage · Inspector ordered
four to be sent. Mr. Storry sent five.
8. Department of Highways 1953 Road appropriation must be in by
january 24, 1953.

10. ~. A. Boucher, District Municipal Engineer, asking why Council
accepted highest Tender for truck. Clerk to reply (1) heavier
~ reinforced frame for snow plow. (2) Less cost per engine mile
(3) Gross weight higher.

12. Thomas Young asked Council to take over West Point Crescent
bast of Rouge River as a Township. Road. Road Superintendent to
estimate cost.
~ 13. HydrogElectric Power Commission asked to build D~stribution
station in Concession 3, Lot 12.
l~. Melville Grant form By-Law to amend zoning By-Law in B. F. R. 2 & 3,
Lot 35.-'
D. G. Ramsay, Division Engineer, Department of Highways, contacted
Clerk. Wants Township to give estimate of their cost to build By-Pass
road in Lot 29, B. F. R. 3 in front of proposed new Dunbarton school.
Road Superintendent submit.
16. Edward G. Smith complained about being forced to pay f or m new
culvert in Plan 284, Lot 74 - bored log 2 inches - not a standard
culvert.
The following PERSONS on MOTION, were heard;

~onihg. Approved as read.
2. F. J. Prouse, re building. .
3- W. C. Willson, re sheep.
4- Mr. Hambleton. asked for usual load of gravel on his culvert.
5- R. C. Reesor, asked to buy north 3/~ sideline between Lots 2h - 25
in Thig'd Concession. Joint ownership with Mr. Cuttle.
MOVED BY Mr. Balsdon, seconded by Mr. Burk, that regular Grant of

Balsdon, that Council sell north
Concession 3, for $ 250.00 to
R. C. Reesor and Mm. Currie, providing County and Judge approve.
